Description of plywood grade CP/CP:
Grade СР – used for facing with non-transparent and film coatings, for processing with paints. Knots with a diameter of no more than are allowed 6 mm in the amount of 10 PCs. per 1 m2 of the sheet surface. The surface is made of solid veneer, the quality of this grade is very close to the BB grade. Healthy light knots are allowed. Healthy dark knots are allowed with a crack no more than 1.5 mm wide. Ungrown knots and holes from ungrown knots are allowed no more than 6 mm in size. Closed and open cracks are also allowed. In the CP variety, the false core should not exceed 50% of the leaf surface, and the healthy color change should not exceed 50%. Repair of veneer inserts in the CP class is not limited. Double inserts are also allowed. The veneer of CP grade can consist of strips of veneer glued together on edge.
Grade С– is the cheapest grade of plywood that is used for use in building structures. The appearance of the front side is usually not polished. In grade C, knots partially fused and ungrown, holes from fallen knots, no more than 40 mm in size, open cracks no more than 10 mm wide, edge defects no more than 5 mm wide are allowed. In grade C, healthy light and dark knots are allowed without limiting the size and quantity. In the inner layers, a lack of veneer up to 10 mm wide is allowed. The lack of veneer at the edges should not exceed 5 mm. It is allowed to putty knots, cracks no larger than 60 mm. Allowed false core, chemical colors, Browning, spots. It is allowed to repair the veneer with single and double inserts. Also, in grade C, veneer overlays, dents, and sanding are allowed.
